This privacy notice explains how Bloom Pages handles personal data under Singapore's PDPA.

Who operates this site

Leila operates Bloom Pages as a personal blog at inkbloomnest.life. There is no company entity, no partnership, and no editorial board behind these pages. I write in my own name from my HDB flat.

Personal data I may receive

When you send email, your address and message arrive in my inbox. I do not operate a contact form, newsletter, or comment system that collects data automatically. Any information you share is what you choose to type.

Hosting and server logs

Independent hosting may record technical logs such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamp. I use those logs only for security and basic maintenance, not for profiling visitors.

Cookies and similar technologies

Essential cookies remember your cookie choice for up to six months. Functional cookies, if enabled, allow embedded Google Maps to load on sites that defer maps until consent. Analytics cookies remain off unless you explicitly enable them — this site does not load analytics scripts by default.

Google Maps on every page

Each page includes a neighbourhood-scale Google Maps embed showing the author's block area. Google may process data when the iframe loads. See the cookie notice for how each site handles map loading.

Why data is used

Email is used to reply to you. Logs help maintain security. Cookie choices are stored to respect your preferences across visits. I do not sell personal data or compile mailing lists from casual readers.

Legal basis and PDPA

Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act, I rely on consent for optional cookies and legitimate interest for essential site operation and security. You may withdraw consent for optional categories at any time using Manage cookies.

Retention periods

Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed for the conversation and then archived or deleted at my discretion. Cookie consent records expire after one hundred eighty days unless renewed. Server logs rotate on the host's schedule.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, or withdrawal of consent by emailing [email protected]. I will respond within a reasonable period. If you believe I hold inaccurate information about you, tell me what to amend.

Third-party services

Primary third parties are independent hosting and Google Maps. Their policies apply when you interact with their services. I do not integrate social login, advertising networks, or payment processors.

Cross-border transfers

Email and hosting providers may process data outside Singapore depending on their infrastructure. I choose providers with reasonable safeguards but cannot guarantee every server location.

Security measures

I protect my inbox and hosting credentials with strong passwords and two-factor authentication where available. No online transmission is perfectly secure; please avoid sending sensitive identifiers unnecessarily.

Children

This blog is written for general adult readers and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Updates to this notice

This notice may change when practices or legal requirements shift. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.

Contact for privacy matters

For privacy questions, email [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy". Postal correspondence may be sent to Blk 618 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4, #05-12, Singapore 560618.

Plain-language summary

In short: I run a personal blog, I do not sell your data, cookies mainly remember your consent choice, and Google Maps may set its own cookies when loaded. Email me if you want something corrected or removed.

Data minimisation

I collect as little as possible because the site has no accounts, no checkout, and no comment threads. What you see is largely static HTML.

Complaints

If you believe I have handled personal data improperly, contact me first. You may also refer matters to the Personal Data Protection Commission in Singapore if unresolved.

Bloom Pages is a personal blog. Everything here reflects my own experiences and opinions. It is not professional, medical, legal, financial, or news-reporting advice. The Chin Swee note describes only what I heard and saw from my distance. If you spot an error, email me and I will correct it.

Effective: 1 January 2026

This notice is longer than most posts because privacy language resists poetry — I still tried to keep sentences plain.

I do not run newsletters or comment systems, which means fewer data flows than a typical blog platform would create.

If you email me, I may quote your message back when answering — tell me if you prefer I do not.

Server logs rotate on a schedule set by the host; I do not archive them for marketing profiles.

Google Maps cookies are Google’s category, not mine — I disclose them because the iframe is my choice, the cookies are theirs.

Children should not need to read privacy notices for personal blogs; this site is written for adults reading slowly.

If PDPA requirements shift, this page will shift with them — check the effective date before assuming old habits still apply.
